St Elizabeth
Orthodox Church

Chino Valley, Arizona

Welcome
Welcome to St. Elizabeth Orthodox mission of Chino Valley, Arizona. We are a mission parish in a very peacefull and secluded area, about a half mile off of Highway 89, at St. John's Ranch for Children. St. John's Ranch is a small ranch with cattle, chickens, etc. that was created to help various types of troubled and unfotunate children rehabilitate through an Orthodox manner. We share their chapel while we wait for the new, larger temple to be built on the adjacent property.

Our patron saint, Saint Elizabeth, was a very hardworking and pious saint who was martyred during Russia's atheist persecution in early 1900s. She is known as the saint who walked away from riches and royalty to serve the needy.

Our parish prays to emulate this very pious standard of life. We believe prayer is crucial for this lifestyle. In these complicated times, we must become empowered by what the holy Orthodox Church offers us. We are very thankful for the Church , its saints, and beautiful prayer services.

We are under the Western diocese of the Serbian Orthodox community. Services are in English, and all are welcome!
